When you’re on the search for a powerful and highly capable SUV for your commutes all around the Wilsonville, Woodburn, and Portland, OR, areas, you’re probably looking for something with advanced performance, technology, and design features. Two models you may be considering are the 2020 Jeep Wrangler and the 2020 Toyota 4Runner.
Here at our Jeep dealership, we’re dedicated to helping our drivers every step of the way through their car-buying journey, and we know it starts right here with the research process. Check out our 2020 Jeep Wrangler vs. Toyota 4Runner review below to see how these two vehicles stack up against one another.
To get started, we’ll head right under the hood and check out what powers these beasts.
With the 2020 Wrangler, you’ll get your choice of five different engine options.
Over in the 4Runner, you’re only going to get one engine option—the 4.0L V6—which tops out at just 270 horsepower, and 278 lb-ft of torque.
With all that power, the Wrangler still manages to deliver excellent fuel-efficiency ratings, getting a standard EPA-estimated 22 MPG city and 29 MPG highway rating when equipped with the 3.0L EcoDiesel engine. The 4Runner once again falls short, delivering just a standard 16 MPG city and 19 MPG highway rating.
Now, we’ll move on the exterior and interior design features that set these two apart.
With the 2020 Wrangler, you’ll choose between five different soft top and hardtop roof options that allow you to open up your vehicle and feel the wind in your hair as the sun shines down on you.
With the Sky One-Touch™ Power Top, you can easily fold back your roof with the touch of a button—and be sure to ask us about the available removable doors, and available fold-down windshield. The hardtop can be removed in three pieces, and stored away back in your trunk.
With the 2020 4Runner, you will not have the ability to remove the roof and open up the vehicle, making it much less adventurous and fun.
While both vehicles may be a decent choice for your commutes around the Wilsonville, Woodburn, and Portland, Oregon, areas, it’s clear the Wrangler outperforms the 4Runner in such crucial categories as performance, MPG ratings, and design.
Here at Wilsonville CDJR, we’re dedicated to providing you with a fun and informative car-buying experience. For more information, or to schedule your new Jeep Wrangler test drive, give us a call—or stop by today!
