Jeep Renegade Performance
The 2021 Jeep Renegade offers two engine options for you to pick your power output. You can stick with the standard engine of the Tigershark® MultiAir® 2 and see up to 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. If you upgrade to the turbo engine, you can enjoy up to 177 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque.
The Renegade features both a 4×4 drivetrain and a front-wheel-drive (FWD) configuration. In the 4×4 configuration, you’ll be able to tow up to 2,000 pounds. You’ll also find the available Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System that comes with different driving modes, like Snow, Sand, and Mud, to complement where you’re driving that day.
Standard Hill Start Assist along with available Hill Descent Control will further boost your stability in different situations.
Jeep Renegade Interior
The Jeep Renegade goes on to include many other interior features that make it great not only for off-roading but for everyday family drives. It comes with a number of standard safety features, like LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, and the ParkView® Rear Back Up Camera.
There are some entertaining tech features offered as well. The standard 7-inch touchscreen comes with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. If you already use technology like Amazon Alexa or SiriusXM™, different connection options will be available with those platforms. You’ll also have connection options with the available Wi-Fi hotspot that can accommodate up to eight devices.
Further comfort can be found in the available heated front seats and steering wheel along with an available 8-way power driver’s seat and 4-way power lumbar support adjustment.
Jeep Renegade Trim Levels
The Jeep Renegade has numerous trim levels to choose from. As we mentioned earlier, this model has options for both front-wheel drive and a 4×4 drivetrain. Some trim levels are only available in the 4×4 drivetrain, while others come standard with front-wheel drive and can be upgraded.
The trims that come standard in only a 4×4 setup are the following:
- Sport
- Freedom
- Jeepster
- Limited
- Trailhawk
The trims with a standard front-wheel drivetrain but can be upgraded to the 4×4 are the following:

The highest trim levels of Limited and Trailhawk also come standard with the direct injection turbo engine. The others will feature the standard Tigershark® MultiAir® 2 engine.
Additionally, the Trailhawk trim features Rock Mode along with the other modes on the Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System. This is the only trim level to feature Hill Descent Control.
