Dodge is looking to its impressive history to expand the trim lineup for both the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger muscle cars. Beginning this fall, the race-inspired Dodge Challenger T/A and Dodge Charger Daytona will roar back into action after being out of production for years. That is exciting news for both classic car enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys peak levels of automotive performance and style. Here’s what we know about both models so far.
Dodge Challenger T/A
This car runs on a 5.7L HEMI V8 that delivers 392 hp. It also features unique performance upgrades like active performance exhaust, larger wheels, a lowered suspension, premium shock absorbers, and sport-tuned stability controls with three different settings. The car will also have a classic look and feature satin black paint, air catcher headlights, ‘70s-inchpired gauges, custom embroidered floor mats, and lots of other flourishes. Drivers can upgrade to the Dodge Challenger T/A 392 to get a heftier 6.4L V8 engine that boosts power to a robust 485 hp and can hit 60 mph from a standstill in about 4.5 seconds.
Dodge Charger Daytona
The same engine and performance upgrades will be available, but this car also adds a cold-air induction, 2.75-inch electronically controlled exhaust system, as well as different calibrations for the engine and transmission to boost acceleration. The look of the car is inspired by the Charger SRT models but also shows off a HEMI logo on the hood, Daytona graphics on the rear fender, black Napa leather and suede seats with gold stitching, and aluminum and gloss-black interior trim. New features include driver’s seat and steering column memory settings, Bi-Xenon headlights, LED ambient cabin lighting, and sensors to make backing up easier.
Get Race Ready at Dick’s CJDR of Wilsonville
Both of these cars will have an MSRP from around $40,000, which is not much more than the standard issue Charger and Challenger models. The T/A will ship out in September with the Daytona to follow in October. You can get a look at both vehicles and take them out for a hair-raising test drive at our dealership. Visit us at 25600 S.W. Parkway Center Drive in Wilsonville, OR during our regular sales hours, Monday through Saturday. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch.
Jeep is Building a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Pickup
Jeep is Building a 2017 Jeep Wrangler Pickup

For years, drivers across the country have been asking about the possibility of a Jeep Wrangler that incorporates the convenience and utility of a pickup truck. After all, an off-road trekking adventure might prove more appealing with a truck bed in back. Now, it appears Jeep is finally getting ready to release a production version of the 2017 Jeep Wrangler pickup, with spy photos already spotting one. Find out what we know so far.
What We Know About the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Pickup
Jeep CEO Mike Manley recently confirmed that Jeep will be releasing a pickup version of the Wrangler sometime late this year, after the release of the regular 2017 Jeep Wrangler. Based on the newest Wrangler platform, the pickup is likely to keep its truck-based, body-on-frame design, though it could get increased fuel economy thanks to the possible addition of more durable, lightweight aluminum elements to the frame.
Not the First Jeep Truck
This isn’t the first time Jeep has ventured into the pickup segment. In 2005, they gave us the Jeep Gladiator concept, but it never made it to production, nor did any of the other concept models to follow. In fact, the last time Jeep had a production pickup on the market was in 1992, when the Jeep Comanche dropped off the assembly lines. Before that, there was the Jeep Scrambler, a kind of pickup/SUV hybrid that hasn’t been around for over 30 years. Needless to say, Jeep enthusiasts who also like the utility of a pickup have plenty to be excited about with the upcoming release of the 2017 Jeep Wrangler pickup.
Find Out the Latest Information about the 2017 Jeep Wrangler Pickup
We don’t yet have a release date on the 2017 Jeep Wrangler pickup, and any specs floating around at this point are merely speculative. You can be sure that we’ll let drivers know as soon as there’s more information to be had. Stay up-to-speed with Dick’s CJDR of Wilsonville. In the meantime, test drive the current generation of the Jeep Wrangler SUV at our dealership, located at 10305 US-224 in Findlay, OH.

Fiat Chrysler have recently announced the changes to be made for the 2017 Dodge Viper, and the Viper keeps its spot at the top of the premium sports car category. While the new Dodge sports car will mark the Viper’s last year, Dodge has gone out with a bang, with six special edition models planned for the vehicle’s swansong year.
Explore the 2017 Dodge Viper
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the legendary Viper. One of the most impressive and envy-inducing nameplates in the world for a solid quarter-century, the Viper is an expression of pure driving joy.
If you’re in the market for a sports car that’s ready for the track, the Viper ACR is the right choice for you. Only introduced in 2016, the ACR holds production car records at 13 race tracks across North America. However, the Viper will now be expanded with six world-class special edition models, including:
- Viper Snakeskin Edition GTC
- Viper 1:28 Edition ACR
- Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR
- Viper Snakeskin Edition ACR
- Viper VoooDoo II Edition ACR
- Viper Dodge Dealer Edition ACR
From the classic white on blue color combination (designed after the 1998 Viper GTS-R GT2 Championship Edition) to the eye-catching green hue of the Snakeskin models, these special editions are already attracting particular interest.
Of course, even the standard models are anything but standard. At the heart of each sits a mighty 8.4L V10 engine that puts drivers in command of up to 645 hp and 600 lb-ft of torque. The latest Viper even boasts a more responsive drive than ever before thanks to adjustable stability control, traction control, and a 4-channel anti-lock brake system, making the best even better.

We’re sad to be seeing the Dodge Viper go, but at least it’s leaving at the top of its field. To find out more about this iconic model, contact our team at Dick’s CJDR of Wilsonville.
These SRT® Hellcats Have Earned Their Stripes
The 2016 Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat models, the fastest, most powerful muscle cars to ever run the track*, got their stripes the old-fashioned way: with 650 lb.-ft. of torque. Now they finally get to wear them.
This January dealers began taking orders for SRT Hellcat-exclusive dual full-length carbon-fiber pattern stripes. A little car history for you: Racing stripes made their first appearance in the 1950s. They were primarily used to help spectators identify a particular racecar on the track and to also help the driver orient his ride after a spinout. The stripes fulfilled a third and slightly unexpected role of making cars look completely freaking awesome. Not surprisingly, pretenders and copycats lifted the design element. The British christened them “go-faster stripes.” That’s cute.
While Dodge SRT engineers have confirmed that dual exterior stripes take the aggressive appearance of the 2016 Challenger and 2016 Charger SRT Hellcats up a notch, they credited the 707-horsepower supercharged HEMI® V8 under the hood of these two monsters, and not the stripes, for everything in the speed department. We tend to believe them.
The icing on top of this burnt-rubber cupcake comes in a delicious flavor of Plum Crazy. In response to massive consumer demand, Dodge has extended the deadline for ordering the limited-edition, high-impact Plum Crazy exterior paint color through the end of January.
The SRT Hellcat dual stripes option is available now for a suggested MSRP of $995. When it comes to tricking out your SRT Hellcat in one of the Dodge brand’s most legendary high-impact hues, the clock is ticking.
* Based on NHRA certified ¼-mile testing, top speed and horsepower. Excludes non-mass production vehicles.
