How to Buy a Car Online
If you’re like many drivers right now in the Wilsonville, Woodburn, and Portland, OR, areas, then you’re probably wondering how to buy a car online. The great news is that, in the digital age, shopping online is easier than ever, and that includes buying a car.
Check out our step-by-step guide to online car buying here. Then, browse the inventory on the Dick’s CJDR of Wilsonville website to get your car search started right!
Step 1: Check Out Your Local Car Dealer’s Online Inventory
The first step to buying a Jeep, Ram, or any other car online is checking out the inventory listed on your local car dealer’s website. Like most dealerships, we list our full selection of available vehicles right here on our site so that you can browse from the comfort of your own home.

Here are just a few of the models that are popular among local drivers like you:
- Jeep Grand Cherokee
- Ram 1500 Classic
- Ram 2500
We even carry adventurous vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler that can really get you out and about, whether you’re trekking through the forests or heading to the seaside.
To make your online car search even more convenient, we include several ways to filter your search results. Go ahead and shop by body style, exterior color, model name, fuel economy, trim level, and more.
If you have any specific questions, you’re of course always welcome to reach out to our team for assistance over the phone.
Step 2: Browse Used Cars Online

Like many drivers, you may assume that buying a car online is limited to the new car inventory. Actually, it’s just as easy and possible to buy a used car online. In fact, we take great pride in our online used car sales.
We offer the same ease of use with our used car inventory as we do with our new cars. Go ahead and select your filters and shop for your favorites, like:
- Jeep Compass
- Jeep Cherokee
- Ram 1500
Our online used car inventory is expansive and includes a variety of makes and models. Plus, our certified pre-owned (CPO) vehicles have also undergone a 125-point inspection and come with a limited factory warranty. We’ll even throw in a complimentary CARFAX® Vehicle History Report for your shopping convenience.
Step 3: Figure Out Your Financing Using Online Shopper
When something catches your eye, it’s time to figure out the financing and crunch some numbers. With our Online Shopper tool, we strive to make this process as simple, enjoyable, and personalized as possible.

Simply click the Explore Payment Options button next to your favorite vehicle. This will take you to a page where you can fill in a little bit of information so that we can help you get the best payment options for you.
All you have to do is plug in your location and any vehicles you may be trading in. We’ll also ask you about your lifestyle so that we can match you with any current special financing programs, lease deals, or any other incentives you may qualify for. This includes information like military status and how many miles you drive per year.
By doing this, we can comb through our network of lenders to calculate several payment options that we think will be a great fit for your spending plan.
Step 4: Have Your Test Drive Delivered

After you’ve played around with some payment options, decided whether you want to buy or lease, and know what kind of loan you want, it’ll be time to take a test drive. You can schedule that through Online Shopper, too.
You’ll have two options: You can set up a time to come to the dealership, or you can have the dealership come to you! That’s right! Depending on your location, we can deliver your test drive right to your door. You’ll take the wheel and drive around your neighborhood so that you can see exactly what it’ll feel like when the car is yours.
If you love it, we’ll be ready with a pen so you can sign and keep that vehicle parked in your driveway for good.
