Autumn is upon us, and you know what that means! Apple-picking, pumpkin spice lattes, apple pie, and, of course, pumpkin carving. Before you can get carving, however, you’re going to need to pick the perfect pumpkin, and we’ve got just the spot!
The Portland area has so many great pumpkin patches to visit to celebrate the harvest season. Here are just a few of our favorites.

Bella Organic is a little bit of everything—a little pumpkin patch, a little winery, a little haunted attraction, and more! Basically, if it celebrates the fall season, you can find it here.
They offer u-pick produce as well as a farmer’s market and store. You can also visit the pumpkin patch the pick your favorite gourde or try your hand at their themed corn maze. This year’s theme is Equality, with a special dedication to the US National Women’s Soccer team.
If you’re up for a fright, come back after dark and visit the haunted corn maze, inspired by the hit television show Stranger Things.

Fazio Farms is a farm that’s all in the family and has been since the early 20th century! They grow some of the best pickling cucumbers in the Portland area in addition to blueberries, dill weed, pumpkins, and squash.
There are so many ways to celebrate the autumn season here. You can test your hand at the Revolving Bean Bag Toss or the Pumpkin Ring Toss, or you can take in the sights on the tractor hayride. Feeling lucky? Make your way through the corn maze or wander through the hay maze and pyramid!
Of course, the little ones can have a blast on the bouncy slide, too. Don’t leave before picking out your pumpkin!

Plumper Pumpkin Patch & Tree Farm is a genuine down-home farm experience. This family-owned and -operated farm is located on a 65-acre property with rolling hills and a breathtaking view of the Willamette Valley.
When it’s time to pick your pumpkin, choose one pre-picked or head into the fields to find your own. While you’re there, you can enjoy so many fun activities, like watching pumpkins fly from the pumpkin cannons or doing some pumpkin rolling.
They also have hayrides, tube slides, an obstacle course, pony rides, a barrel train, a farm store, and so much more!

The Pumpkin Patch of Sauvie Island is the original pumpkin-picking destination. A third-generation family farm established in 1967, The Pumpkin Patch has been the place to go for harvest fun for more than 50 years.
Stop by all year long for some u-pick produce fresh off the tree, vine, or bush, including pumpkins. They offer free daily hayrides in October and on Labor Day weekend that drive you out to the pumpkin fields while you take in the sites of Sauvie Island.
Additionally, you can meet their animals in the Big Red Animal Barn, try to get out of The Maize, grab a bite at The Patio Café and The Pumpkin Perk Coffee, shop in The Pumpkin Cottage giftshop, or ride the Cow Train.
